ようやく盛夏も過ぎようとしております。
熊蝉も殆ど姿を見なくなりました。
でも、未だ未だ暑い🥵

The height of summer is finally drawing to a close.
We hardly see the large *kumazemi* cicadas anymore.
But it is still hot—so hot! 🥵

暑い🥵わぁ〜

It's so hot!🥵

「あのぅそこ、通路なんですけど」

"ヤエヤマサソリの咆哮"

私はヤエヤマサソリ。
八重山諸島にだけ生息している生き物で御座います。
産まれてから死ぬまでの生涯で人と触れ合う機会は殆ど御座いません。
近縁のマダラサソリ君は、不躾（ぶしつけ）にも人間様の住居に侵入する事も有る様で御座いますが………。
日の光りを好まぬ私は、
八重山の森が漆黒の闇に包まれケダモノ達の夜の宴(うたげ)が暴力的につつが無く執り行われた後、静寂が夜の帳(とばり)をすっかり引き下ろした頃に人目につかぬ様にこっそりと出歩くので御座います。

勿論、人間様を傷つける毒など殆ど御座いません。サソリが全て猛毒を所有しているなどと云う戯言（ざれごと）をどうか信じないで下さいまし。
但し私共は単為生殖が出来るので御座います。
🦂今に見ておれ人間共
我らは単為生殖で増え続け、八重山の海を渡り、日本全土を征服してやるのじゃ。

【別に深い意味は無いです。暑さ🥵で人格崩壊が進み、なんだかちょっとヤエヤマサソリの気分に浸ってみたくなっただけで御座います。】

"The Roar of the Yaeyama Scorpion"

I'm the Yaeyama scorpion, and a creature that inhabits only the Yaeyama Islands.

Throughout my life, from the moment I was born until the moment I die, I have had very few opportunities to interact with human being.

As I do not care for the sunlight, I take to wandering about stealthily, out of sight of others, once the forests of Yaeyama have been shrouded in pitch-black darkness and the beasts’ nocturnal feast has been held violently and without incident, just as the silence has fully drawn down the curtain of night.

Of course, I possess hardly any poison capable of harming humans.
Please do not believe the nonsense that all scorpions possess a deadly venom.

However, I am capable of parthenogenesis.

Just you wait and see, humans,
we shall continue to multiply through parthenogenesis, cross the seas of the Yaeyama Islands, and conquer the whole of Japan.
